Celebrating Our Latest Graduates

We are proud to recognize the accomplishments of our four most recent graduates: Tony Brass, Cody Wenzel, Tommy Lail, and Eli Cain-Harris (not pictured). Each of their journeys reflects commitment, resilience, and the ongoing work of building a healthier life beyond LSI.
Graduation from LSI is not an endpoint—it is a meaningful milestone that marks growth, accountability, and readiness to continue forward. Since leaving the program, each of these men has worked to maintain stability by staying sober, housed, and attentive to their physical and mental well-being. These outcomes are not small achievements; they are the result of daily effort and intentional choices.
Life after LSI looks different for everyone, and that reality is reflected in this group. Tony, Cody, Tommy, and Eli are actively engaging with their communities and personal support systems as they continue shaping their lives. Some have entered marriage, others are building new family connections, and all are developing friendships and routines that support long-term health and stability. Progress is unfolding in real time, and it is happening in meaningful ways.
What stands out most is their willingness to keep showing up for themselves and others, even when the path forward isn’t simple. These graduates have faced real-world challenges and continue to navigate them using the tools, insight, and accountability developed during their time at LSI. Their stories reflect perseverance, self-respect, and a growing confidence in their ability to handle life on life’s terms.
We are honored to have been part of their journeys and to witness the lives they are continuing to build. Their progress is a testament to their effort and to the importance of support, community, and belief in long-term change.
Please join us in celebrating Tony Brass, Cody Wenzel, Tommy Lail, and Eli Cain-Harris. Their achievements remind us that success is not one-size-fits-all—it is about stability, connection, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Work Readiness in Action: Learning Brick Laying and Concrete Skirting

It sounds like this Work Readiness Program is about more than training—it’s about gaining practical experience, learning correctly the first time, and feeling proud of what you can now do on a job site.
This added experience focused on brick laying and concrete skirting for modular homes, giving participants exposure to high-demand construction skills. Under Matt’s guidance, Mia and the crew learned the full process—from site preparation and accurate measurement to mixing materials and finishing clean, durable edges. Matt demonstrated each step slowly and clearly, explaining not just how to do the work, but why each detail matters for safety, strength, and long-term quality.
Mia quickly stepped into a leadership role, supporting the crew as they practiced proper brick alignment, mortar application, and concrete skirting techniques. The team worked collaboratively, correcting mistakes in real time and reinforcing best practices. This approach helped build technical skill, teamwork, and confidence.
By the end of the training, participants walked away with new, job-ready skills, a stronger understanding of construction standards, and firsthand experience they can confidently add to their resumes—proof that learning by doing truly works.
